  • Dancing and presenting work like ours is a privilege, in large part because every performance is built upon the shoulders of volunteers who love dance and theater and want great work to continue.

    Our productions require more than just dancers – BT-SLO has been fortunate to draw on the talents and good will of many to do costuming, sets, stage management, music, special event coordination, cooking, supervision, and advertising.

    Want to participate?

    Interested in bringing beautiful, meaningful stories to our audiences? Tasks can range from fundraising to set construction to sewing. Please contact us and let us know where your interests or talents lie.

    BT-SLO is a registered 501(c)(3) federal non-profit, and all donations are tax- deductable.

    Scholarship Fund

    BT-SLO's Scholarship Fund temporarily supplements class tuition for company dancers at our studio home, Dance Obispo, on a per-case basis. Without this fund, a few of our dancers – whether because of work, school, or family – would not be able to dance in our productions.

    To give specifically for this fund, please make a donation and indicate "BT-SLO Scholarhship Fund" in the notes.

  • Take class under our Artistic Director and with company members at Dance Obispo, located downtown SLO near Tom's Toys.

    Dancers of any age are welcome, and are encouraged to modify exercises and patterns to accommodate their body's conditioning. BT-SLO strives to be a company that is welcome, open, and respectful to all.

  • Want to dance with Ballet Theatre San Luis Obispo?

    Every performance requires dancers from the company, studio, and community. BT-SLO is proud to do work that calls for a range of ages, and tailors roles to people's experience and capacity.

    Advanced - professional dancers seeking to join BT-SLO may arrange an "in class" audition with artistic director Theresa Slobosnik.

    Supporting Cast auditions are held as needed. Auditions dates coming for The Velveteen Rabbit and Robin Hood.
