Learning to walk sets you free. Learning to dance gives you the greatest freedom of all: to express with your whole self the person you are.
~ Melissa Hayden ~
This summer program aims to capture the spirit, joy, challenge, and triumph of ballet in a specialized program designed for adult dancers. We want our students to enjoy the beautiful process of studying this timeless art, gaining the satisfaction of well-earned progress, and finding themselves through this wonderful art form.
WHAT TO EXPECT
JOY
Experience genuine joy and love for this wonderful art form! The joy of dance will come through in everything we do during this week.
CHOREOGRAPHY
Ballet is a performing art, and it is important for our Camp to have a performance component.
We will be learning choreography and
recording the performance to video (no live audience) for you to take away after the camp.
GROWTH
We are dedicated to adult dancer growth throughout this 4-day summer intensive through stretching & conditioning exercises, focused mini-classes (pirouettes, placement, big jumps, adagio, and more), and individual improvement.

COMMUNITY
There is an important and beautiful social aspect to ballet – we learn, dance, and improve together! We are proud of our supportive community at BT-SLO. We're thrilled for an opportunity to grow together this summer.
KNOWLEDGE
From châiné to chassé and learning all eight classical positions of the body, you'll expand your knowledge of ballet terminology in just one week. You will learn both the names for the movements and how to properly do them.
SWAG
Limited edition swag designed just for Adult Ballet Camp members!
