Theresa Slobodnik is the School's ballet director and has been teaching ballet for decades. Theresa's ballet classes strike an effective balance between improving the fundamentals of ballet technique along with creating a challenge for her students. Terry's classes are dynamic and artistic. Adult Ballet 1 & 2
Blair London began teaching ballet at a studio in St. Louis, MO in the late 1980s. Since opening the School of BT-SLO in the fall of 2013, Blair has had a vision to teach ballet to teens and adults who want to either begin studying ballet or renew their previous ballet training. Blair brings a high amount of enthusiasm and energy to each of his classes. More details about Blair here.

Katie began her training in San Luis Obispo more than 30 years ago. She has danced with the Gilbert Reed Ballet, Pat Jackson's American Dancers, and Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo. She began teaching 10 years ago, and since then has taught and choreographed all over the central coast.

Kate is a professional principal dance artist with the BT-SLO Performing Company. She has been studying ballet and assistant teaching with Theresa Slobodnik for many years. Kate is in currently attending Cuesta College.
Assistant for Children's Ballet
Ami has been studying ballet with Theresa Slobodnik for her entire dance life. She is a member of the BT-SLO Youth Ballet. Ami is in the eighth grade at Laguna Middle School.
Substitute for Ballet 4, Partnering
Justin danced professionally for 20 years in San Francisco, Oklahoma, Virginia, Colorado, with tours to Portugal, Denmark, and Scotland. Some of his favorite ballets are Carmina Burana, Romeo and Juliet, and Swan Lake. When not dancing or working, he enjoys running, reading, movies, the beach, and cookies.
Talia Ortega is a San Luis Obispo native who is devoted to exploring the music and dance traditions of a variety of ethnic regions. A second-generation dancer and musician, Talia has been studying Flamenco for fifteen years with numerous teachers. Talia has been a performing member of The Garcia Dance Studio for the last eight years and performs regularly at Santa Barbara’s Old Spanish Days festival.
